Fun and Formalities was founded by Tara Walling. Tara obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood and elementary education from the College of Charleston. She taught in the classroom for nine years then began a career coaching teachers on their instruction. In 2004, she combined her expertise with children and education and her passion for cooking and etiquette to create Fun and Formalities, an after-school and summer enrichment program. She currently lives in Denver with her 13 year old lab, Harley.
